Thought Traps that Fuel Burnout
Categories of Negative thought patterns :
All or nothing thinking —> black or white thinking; very drastic way of thinking
Blaming —> blames one self for any negative events that have occurred
Overgeneralizing —> makes conclusions based off of a single event or interaction
Catastrophizing —> exaggerates or minimizes an event or feeling and thinks it is the end of the world
Ignoring the positives—> rejects positive experiences and only dwells on the negative events/ beliefs
"Should" statements —> forces oneself and others to commit to a plan/belief and raises the expectations high, setting them up for failure

Examples of Negative thinking:
“If I can’t do everything perfectly, I’m failing.”
"It's my fault that they’re still suffering"
"no one appreciates me"
"If I don't help, everything will fall apart"
"I don't deserve to take a break"
"I don't know what I am doing so I'm the worstson/daughter ever"
"I shouldn’t need help"
